Definitely interested in your storage ideas and everything else sounds intriguing as well. Coming from a 2nd gen to a 1st gen I think we definitely need more support for these trucks :D

Definitely interested in this. Having electrical power in the bed would be great.

Hey everyone I’m just checking in giving y’all an update.

    Molle panels:
    For those with extended cab...
How many of you have people ride in the back of your truck? The attic I’m designing may or may not use the rear seat belt mount.
For those asking for rear panel or window I’m assuming you’re like me and you do not have anyone in the rear seat.

    Overhead switch panel:
We have the main structure designed and we’re now just playing with cosmetics. We’re still waiting on the equipment so that’s really holding us up.

Under hood panels are being refined but basic design is complete

If you guys have any questions let me know

Interested in what you come up with. Seems the only one out there is Paranoid's. Have his but would definitely like to see more space on the panel. Blue Sea would be simple to mount - its the Bussmann with the notches I'd be interested in.

Nice job on the aux panel for the rear of the truck. I've been working on my own project to take power back to the bed/cap area (which I'll share when complete). An enclosure is key if you want the electronics (switches, relays, etc) tucked away from prying fingers. The only issue with it is the multiple ways to lay it out based on individual taste/needs. For instance the switches you used might not be what another would use. Definitely will need those customization options.

Will keep any eye out for future updates. Good luck with it all, looks and sounds promising.

I had someone try to sit back there once, they ended up riding in the back but not before the seat belt retractor ( I dont know the proper name) broke.
So Im all for using that space!
Thank you for taking interest in making stuff for our beloved first gens!

I wouldn’t classify the rear panel as waterproof but more water resistant. The lid is completely sealed and other components could easily be water proofed. It’s really designed for guys with bed covers or racks. I can make a more weather proof version for those who want to utilize it without any cover . Great question sorry for the confusion earlier.
