    'Stock-But-Capable' - I have four other 4x4s to mod
    Hi All,

I'm selling these cupholder inserts I designed when I bought my 2015 TRD OR earlier this year and the stock 'solution' drove me crazy.

The price is $35 each including shipping. Sometimes I have "Scratch n Dent / Blemish" parts for less.

Please Click Here to check out my store! (https://www.rsdesignsusa.com/)

There are 4 versions available. Please see pictures below!

-"Standard" which fits two Yeti- style tumblers
    - Hydroflask LEFT which will hold a 32oz Hydroflask in the left hole, and standard size hole on the right
    - Hydroflask RIGHT which will hold a 32oz Hydroflask in the right hole, and standard size hole on the left
-Hydroflask BOTH which will hold 32oz Hydroflask on both sides.

I use Yeti-style (OK, the knock off Ozark) cups almost every day and got tired of the factory rubber inserts following me into the office, landing in my lap, or by my feet. I'm a Mechanical Engineer by trade, so after about 3 days of owning the truck, I mocked this up in SolidWorks and started running prototypes. I posted about it on FaceBook and also on here (thread has since been removed...) and several people took interest and bought one. I've included their reviews below. Since then, I've 'shortened' it just a bit as a few people commented that it was a bit tall- the latest revision is what is pictured.

The insert fits 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma. 3D printed with ABS Plastic. Color is Black.
Allows use of Yeti-style travel mugs without issue. This replaces the 'rubber inserts' shipped with the trucks. This insert slides into the rectangular opening and locks into the tabs to allow easy fitment and retention of typical Yeti-style travel mugs. Hole size is around 3.2"

As for testing/ability to withstand heat / etc... I've been testing these in various ways for a few months now. I have some on my HOT Florida roof testing for color fading, and they're in the elements 24/7. I also keep a few "loose" in my truck bed banging around with changing cargo loads to test durability. So far... no issues.

Please note that this part is 3D printed one by one, and not bulk manufactured. There will be small variations part-to-part - not in terms of size, but rather finish/grain/etc. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS FOR FITMENT - This is not a bulk manufactured part, but a homemade product developed by someone frustrated with this cupholder issue with these trucks. Please look CAREFULLY at the fitment photos, to ensure you will be satisfied with the look and fit of the product in your vehicle.

Once again the price is $35 each including shipping. Please CLICK HERE to go to my store!

Yes, there is another member who makes something similar, with a different process. From my brief time browsing, I believe he uses a manual machining process. Nothing wrong with that, they look nice and I'm sure function the same way!

Nothing wrong with a little friendly competition. :D Just like many companies make lift kits for our trucks as well

Thanks all! Out in the mail today :)

Tinkering and making a blue one if anyone would be interested! Might run a red one overnight... Never ran any other than black and gray in the past. Was not a big fan of the gray, it didn't quite match the gray in the 05-11 trucks...

Picture is about an hour and a half in, with 4 and a half hours to go before post-processing...

The only colors I can do right now are black, red, blue, gray. The gray does not match the gray inside the trucks very well. What color are you interested in?

I keep seeing posts about the yeti cup holder here. Are there really that many people that can only drink liquids out of a yeti?

Either I am missing something or there are a few people that is way to obsessed with an overpriced cup.

I'm using a camelbak eddy .75L and it doesn't fit in any of the cup holders well. But also in Texas, Yeti's are a way of life so perhaps it's like that elsewhere. :notsure:

Yeti is what everyone writes, but walmart makes knockoffs for about $7 that work just as well. Neither of the cups in my picture are an actual "Yeti". Just a style i suppose. Like people who say 'Kleenex' instead of tissue...

And the issue applies to most sport bottles, or even powerade or gatorade bottles... they either dont fit, or the rubber inserts (on 12-15) stick the bottle and it comes out. This solves all of those issues.

Ran a red and blue for the first time yesterday. Switching back to black but they look cool, for someone doing a "color theme" or something2019-09-25 08.07.22.jpg

Not sure, haven't tried. To clean I typically spray with alcohol and wipe (I work in technical environment so that is our preferred cleaning liquid). I'll throw a few in the dishwasher and post my results on next run.
