My truck's lifetime average fuel economy has been 15.0 L/100 km, this is after correcting for the slight tire size growth on Duratracs :D
It's the product of shitty 401 rush hour traffic + constant revving in 3rd gear + Duratracs at 29 psi

Best so far was the straight drive to and from North Bay at 12.5 L/100 km. Worst so far was wheeling in VMUTS at 19.3 L/100 km.

My 2nd gen over the same period last year averaged 16.8 L/100 km on the same tires, so it's an 11% improvement in fuel consumption :notsure:

90-100km/hr up on HWY 28 between Peterborough and Bancroft with no stops, no slow downs, no traffic in front of me except the civic I was practically tailgating to draft behind him for the entire trip. also not on my KO2s but the stock good years that i still have.

Can't be too polluting if you aren't flying your truck to Japan for oil changes like the Qatari do. The poorer Qatari anyway, who can't afford to have a Lamborghini factory tech living onsite...

Well, if shipping by sea is about $1500-2000 to Europe from here. I say it’s about 10-15K to fly a vehicle

3" lift. $10K in TRD options. Richie's semi-hidden bumper, and soon his Elka suspension
My 2nd gen will get 500kms to a 65 litre tank and a 4 banger pushing steel bumpers, sliders and 33's. And that was on shitty wheel bearings...
But like @llamasmurf , I don't care about mpgs... just drive and enjoy!

Agree, but some (won’t be poking fingers) budget gas now and can’t go every weekend out, because it’s a $90 per tank... that’s $300+/month for just fun drives + commute another $200/month, so $500/month just to keep Taco rolling.

more mpg = more fun and more trips lol

I keep an eye on it but more for performance of the truck. If you drive any truck then you have no one to blame but yourself for the sheer stupidity of spending thousands of dollars a year on fuel. I usually curl up into a ball and cry at least twice a year.

Manuel and was running a solid 350km per tank in the winter driving like a grandma less when having a little fun. At around 500 currently. don't know where everyone pulls these 600+ numbers from.

My 2nd gen manual consumes on average 12.5L/100km between oil changes in the summer,
And 14.5L in the winter. This has been pretty constant over 6-years.

I’ve been as low as 8L/100km on some trips where speed and aggression were non-existant as per Gov’t regulation.

My 4Runner has taught me a new appreciation for efficiency and Overdrive transmissions. Redee, sporting a Chev 350 and TH350 (uggggh, I hate Autos) running a new FITech efi was down to 17L/100km....but then I had to reset the fuel “learning” after I started button mashing one night.....Now I’m back to factory default tuning....22L/100km...

Now I take the Taco when I wanna conserve gas. Last year I woulda hopped in the wife’s Focus @6L/100. Just a matter of perspective.

E147299E-FF92-4C47-9F62-14AE0C61FE4F.jpg Southhampton to Shelburne at 3am a few years back...8.11L/100km on a 178km trip. No traffic or aggression or hills (or children making me stop twice for bathroom breaks in a 20 minute span)

99FB5D09-6810-414E-8248-B2F69DAA1B22.jpg Fergus ESSO to Shelburne in July, rushhour timing, keeping to the back roads. 9.73L/100km on 50km trip I was less than that Cambridge to the ESSO, but much too slow to whip out my phone for proof (or to actually remember)

Tis is my consumption today in 401/403 traffic on 35s. (speedo and computers adjusted for size of tires).
