Got my sliders and skidplate back from media blasting today, prepped them and started spraying them with Rustoleum bedliner.

Found an 8" long crack at the first bend on my skid, was hidden by the crusty old powdercoat, going to drill the end of the crack and weld it tomorrow.

I would only replace what is necessary and use OEM parts. Learn from my mistake.

I saw someone replace their entire Lower Control Arm for Moog because the Lower Ball Joint failed. I thought "now why would he do that" only to have my passenger side LBJ fail shortly after. At the time, I was about to move and didn't know when I would have a shop again to do my own maintenance. So I decided to follow suit. I mean, why not replace the whole unit and get all new LBJ and bushings, right? So I did some research. Moog has apparently gone downhill and I couldn't find anything bad about the Duralast ones at AutoZone. So I went Duralast. I've already replaced one under warranty and should probably replace both. They haven't held alignment well, make creaking and popping sounds. I know that this is the cause, because it temporarily went away on one side when I replaced it under warranty. The noises also started around the time these were installed.

TL;DR: just replace the Lower Ball Joint with OEM. It's more expensive than any aftermarket option, but easier to do it once with a part that will last as opposed to some junk that will need to be replaced constantly.

Put the D Rings in the rear bumper. I wasn't sure about the red but I think it looks good.
