@EatSleepTacos is it safe to assume that the Overland sliders aren't as durable/sturdy as the others that Joe makes?

 

Hey guys! Would anyone be interested in an Eibach Pro truck lift + A Wheelers 1.5" AAL + Method NV 16x8 bronze wheels + Toyo Open country R/Ts 285/75/16? All parts have about 8k miles on them. Im considering trading in the Tacoma for a bigger truck because of stuff and kids and things. I may get more value giving the dealership a stock truck. I would be looking to swap my parts for OEM parts plus some pennies. Not a for sure thing yet, but I would be looking to do the swap within a week if I go this route. Parts are currently on a 2018 TRD Off Road.

Ill also have some extra things to part out if I move the truck which I will address at the appropiate time.

 

Any rubbing with this wheel/tire combo?

 

If you have skinny tire now, and havent cmc, you will need to with these.

 

I got a proper alignment after I installed the lift and I have no rubbing. I didn't CMC or trim anything. Truck has been off road and still didnt experience rubbing, even at full lock.

 

Might be interested then depending on $$.

I'm on 285x70X17 with no CMC, and also have no rubbing. That said no trail runs since they were installed.

 

Same size w/o CMC (yet), while at FPK last month there was some slight CMC and pinch weld rubbing, but I don't go @Darkgoatracer style!

Got up through the "hard" way, though with a little guiding/spotting assistance thanks to @EatSleepTacos and @twheat40 at a spot or two. Also have not had an alignment done (waiting on SPC UCA and suspension upgrade), since it drives/tracks fine on road.

 

Speaking of, any 2nd Gen guys doing a CMC soon? Have a set of BAMF plates I need to get rid of and would rather do it locally.

 

That is correct HOWEVER, they are on par with other bolt on sliders that some companies offer.

The HD ones that joe offers are just a cut above most others and ridiculously strong. The new ones just released will be plenty strong for 95% of people looking for sliders.

 

So anyone on the West Coast is good, right?

The attachment plate is a plasma cut flat plate that bolts through the face of the chassis only. There are other vendors that use a similar concept when mounting and also state they are a rock slider but we have seen them used in situations where they were really put to the test and they in our opinion where not ideal. We already offer a rock slider that we consider heavy duty that have unique attachment features. We figured if you are an avid wheeler who will be in rock gardens or really putting your sliders to work often then we recommend our heavy duty sliders. If you are more of an overlander looking for a step and a slider that will see light or occasional use, then we recommend these.

We all know all they do is overland. Silly westcoasters.

There's one guy in the welding thread making like $48 an hour, and then he has a side gig too fabricating sliders and has made like $48k off that this year too. Welding can definitely bring home the bacon if you have the right gig.

 

The fracking industry is long from being finished. 150-200K a year is ridiculous!

 

So an unfortunate side effect of these new 35s is they take forever to fill up, even with the dual ARB compressor. I'm considering selling it and getting a CO2 set up.

That said, anyone interested in a dual ARB, ARB air hose, and slee offroad mount for a second gen? Mounts it up next to the windshield washer reservoir. Everything you'd need would be included for $600. Just gauging interest.
