Well at the current time my truck is unsafe to drive. The driver side motor mount has sunk into the frame of the pickup. Apparently common on 05's and some early 2006. From what I have read Toyota has been no help to anyone fixing this problem. My truck has never been jumped etc. But I do live in the country so the roads are harsh at times. Waiting to hear from a body shop and a mechanics shop on who thinks they can get it pulled back out and weld it and reinforce it. It was a sudden development. My motor is sitting low and far enough forward to hit the fan shroud. I am really hoping they don't have to pull the motor out to fix it.
    Here are a few pics

yup, I had this happen too, all i did was order this:
    http://dmzfab.com/product/tacoma-motor-mount-gusset-kit/

Then i removed my front dif, jacked my motor up till the mount was located correctly and welded it, then i welded in the gusset kit.. hardest part is removing the front dif.

I was 2 hours out in the middle of nowhere and harsh landscape when this happen, the only way the fan wouldn't touch the shroud is when i was on the gas, so i hualed ass and had no issues, the trans and opposite side motor mount kept it safe.

Good luck OP. Anyone know if this is an issue on the replacement frames as well?

I did call the Toyota Dealer in town, He was like there Is no open recalls on your truck so there is no way Toyota will cover the repair, I do have it a local shop waiting for a quote to fix it. I am hoping with a lift they can get it put back up and welded into place with out taking the front diff out.

need to take it to an offroad fab shop, mechanic shops and bodyshops are black and white typically, AND you have to remove the FRONT dif to have enough room to weld... lol

I live in Kansas no real off road shops around me.. If I had a place to get it up off the ground I think I would repair it on my own.

Wow, you really are in the middle of podunk, nowhere. Looks like this is the place to go talk to.

Order the Dmzfab gussets. They're really nice pieces.

Oh, OK, didn't know it doesn't work that way. Well, it turns out the OP is nowhere near Kansas City.

I don’t know any specific shops in KC. It’s going to need to be jacked up and welded. Don’t run the motor with the fan hitting the shroud. That’s bad lol

Let’s see what my friends in KC can come up with @Sociopenguin @ResearchMonkee @Slashaar

I think 4x4 Land is in topeka, maybe the closest bet. If not they could refer you to somebody. Hays is pretty far out though. Maybe an good exhaust shop, or a welding repair
like one of those mobile guys that fixes broken down semis and tractors......
