So many posts out there on this but I’m struggling.

got a Tacoma rear view mirror dome light which my truck didn’t originally have.

    Wiring it up?

    fuse 12v ?

    door ground?

the light doesn’t have the door switch and has two wires out the back.

some people are saying it’s self grounded so what are these two wires for?

A pillar o shit handles are stripped off and stuck with thread lock.

Anywhere I can wire this is and not melt my fuse box?

You can tap into the rear dome light and fish it through the headliner to the front.

Are they both power wires coming out of the mirror? And do I need to add a fuse/fuses? Is the rear dome light only door activated if I don’t have the door toggle on the mirror?

Tap onto the black and white striped wire in the drivers a pillar. No need to add a fuse or anything. Each light will come on when the button for it is pushed.

Both mirror wires into the same a pillar wire? As mentioned in the first post. O shit handle bolts stripped out and thread locked in. Any tips for that?

One should be a ground wire going to a ground screw on the mirror if I remember correctly. Take that wire and run it to a chasis ground somewhere in the cab. Any bolt going into unpainted metal will work fine. Take the other wire coming from the mirror and splice it into the black and white wire in the drivers a pillar.

As for the stripped bolts, sounds like drilling them out is your best bet. Once you get em out, clean the threads up with a tap. Should be either M8-1.25 or M6-1.0, I forget exactly.
