Its still fine to drive around town in small trips. It hasnt overheated yet so its not that bad. It will get used some probably while were lifting my dads dads truck hopefully this weekend. Ill be happy if that tech gets it, he said hes a former Toyota tech and has owned a few of their trucks. In an 88 right now.

You would be stupid to trade in any vehicle that you arent still making payments on.

Why would you do that when you can make more with a private sale?

Because its a dumb decision to trade/sell any old vehicle to a dealership. You have a clean truck that could fetch $8-9k in a private sale. Slap it up on craigslist with a cash only, firm price around there and see what happens. The dealership is ripping you off with $3k, their only offering you that in hopes that you'll turn around and slap that down as a down payment on a newer vehicle.

From growing up around car dealerships, we would often sell the new car near or at cost, then look to make our profit on the trade in.

so once i hand the title over to them i have no say in how much they resell for?
i just like the notion of the anonymity of this so some douche shit in a private sale that knows whom they purchased it from does not come back knocking on my door about some problem that just popped up suddenly that needs to be fixed! and they want me to make it right by them

    4 run, 2 don't
If you are seriously considering getting rid of your vehicle, message me.

    Otherwise, don't bother.

I'd love a clean 4x4 Taco; I'd just take my mods off, put them on the newly purchased truck, and sell my prerunner.
