ReveMoto: Tacoma 16+ Painted Sport Hoods w/Hood Scoops

This has to be a case of package being moved, dropped or stored upside down by FedEx. No other way to bend corners like that besides dropping while installing which seems you didn't get that far. This really is upsetting to me as well.

 

On my way to work this morning all I thought about was the few of you guys getting your hoods this week and everything going so smooth so far. I couldn't wait to see some updated truck pics. I am hoping @karatescotty and @SSM Taco will bring us some positive news really soon.
@Jessrin if there's anything I can do to help you out with your damage claim let me know. I'm going make sure we get this right for you. Feels bad man.

 

No worries. It’s shipping. Living this far north sucks. Stuff has to travel a long ways. A lot of hands and forklifts touch that box.

 

By the way. That hood looks awesome!!! Truck looks great.

 

Did anyone from the first batch NOT send a paint sample? Curious how that works out.

 

Not sure but I think Jessrin and karatescotty didn't send in paint samples. Jessrin's hood was damaged in shipping but he could probably tell us how the color match turned out.

My hood was supposed to come today but I got called into work so I missed it. Now I have to call fedex in the morning to reschedule.

I ordered Silver sky metallic. I want to thank you again. This has been a long journey trying to find a scooped hood since 2016. It’s impossible, I’ve been waiting and checking the forum. I’ve made post on other forms looking. I’ve even stop and ask other truck to swap hood just to get a stare of disbelief. I’ve even left notes on trucks. I am very excited to end this madness. Thank you!

To be honest, I frequently check the “swapping hood thread” for a miracle that a scooped hood would trade near my location. I just happen to stumble upon @Semper_Fi post of a new whole
Hood. Heck why not. It’s about the same price I offered to trade plus my hood for one. My next step was to go straight to the dealership and have them get me a scooped hood at what ever cost. But I hear it will cost me an arm and a leg plus the time my truck would have to be in the shop. That’s the only reason I haven’t gone that route. Just by luck, I’m here and well now I will have two hood.

 

:O I want this so bad

 

Technically it’s the best modification you can do to your truck. That hood scoop gets used so much. You use it when you walk to your truck. When you walk away from your truck. When your inside your truck. When your driving your truck. I mean the main purpose of that scoop is for looks. And trust me. You’ll be looking at it all the time. So, in all actuality.. it would be the most used modification. . I know I’m pulling on strings here. But it sounds logical

 

I’ll try to use this when explaining why it’s a necessary mod to the wife
