Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
Anyone ever replace the an upper window channel on one of these trucks, specifically on the rear doors? Not wanting to dismantle the whole friggin' door if I don't have to, but it's going to leak if I don't replace it.

Pinstriped the hell out of the Tacoma this Sunday, SE of Gabbs (old Warrior mine). Had to back down a road (no turnaround spot) and had a fun meeting with a rather large juniper.

A branch ripped the hell out of the window run channel on the rear D/S door (flexed the hell out of the glass, but luckily it didn't break). For reference, it's Part #2 in this image:

    https://parts.olathetoyota.com/auto...l-v6-gas-engine/body-cat/glass-rear-door-scat

(Yes, it's for the wrong gen Tacoma, but it's the same general part. I ordered the correct one for a 2014...)

No need to dismantle door as far as I recall, their are little clips you need to squeeze with needle nose pliers and the channel will pull right out. Just roll the window down and start trying to pull it out and you should see them. At least thats how it was for the front when I did it a few months ago.

What do you do at the mines? Is it for work or just fun?

Thanks! It looks like the part up top rolls off a pinch weld of some sort. The part down towards the bottom, where there are those two metal clips (as seen from the outside of the door) looked a little tricky. But I'll give it a shot once the parts show up.

We just head out to the old mines and ghost towns to explore, shoot, drink, and generally carry on without the wives telling us to STFU. We pick a different area each year, get a rough idea of where we want to go, and then go.

Roads were a little more dodgy this year than usual. Despite lifts and decent tires, we had to do a little road rehab (mostly where the road crossed a wash or gully). Still, lots of fun!

Isn’t that illegal? I’d have paid them $200 and told them they should be happy they’re getting anything at all.

Yeah, I thought they need pre-approval over a certain dollar amount.

NRS 597.510 - you have the right to receive a written estimate for repairs over $50

NRS 597.520 - you have the right to require authorization BEFORE any additional repairs if the repairs exceed $100 or 20% of the original estimate, whichever is less.

Try Axleline next time. Aaron is a cool dude.

Optionally Dean at Carson City Driveline Services built two of my shafts and hes a cool guy too.

Both very good at what they do and know how to build a custom shaft.

Also Aaron ordered me some triangle PTO shaft that is fucking gnarly for my spare shaft. Kolt runs it on his crawler and beats those things. Has had half the yota sitting on them

It essentially has a round center too so you can get them pretty true if you want.

Thanks for all that and I agree they were in the wrong. But I needed my shit back before this weekend and I'm trying not to get myself worked up nowadays and blah blah.
Noted both these two in my truck notes, thanks Max!
Interesting. I'll have to ask him about it. Thanks again!

Yeah dude, Aaron will know exactly which shit if you tell him Max and Kolt had him order it. I think it was about 200$ for both sticks. Thats enough to do two drivelines easily.

This is smaller than what I have. This was probably 4 years ago and it finally just broke a couple months back at moonrocks and we installed the bigger shaft.

Just shitty customer service/communication on their end and I agree in no point in getting worked up over it...in the scheme of things it's not worth it.
