    Dude spray some cleaner in the area, scrub it with a stiff brush, and then if still residue, hit it with a high pressure power washer.

    If that still doesn’t satisfy you, hit it with some paint or buy a new one. This shit isn’t rocket science.

    If that’s sap... grab a can of Citrol in a spray can. It’s the best thing to get dried/sun-baked sap off.

    Nope, leave them in the mud room or entryway where they belong.

    Look, I’ll spend days cleaning up my 4Runner and making the paint shine, wheels snap, tires glow and interior so clean you’d think it came from the dealer but some scars just show. Wear it like a badge of honor.

    I understand that there are some scuffs on the bumper that won't come off and I am fine with that, it's a nice reminder and a story to tell. I just want to get the remains of the tree off. I'm sure I can do that after following the advice of the many posts I've gotten here.

    WD-40 does good at getting sap and tar off without being harsh on your paint.
