The "other" blower motor issue...

    My resistor has been replaced years ago. Now my blower won't turn on at any speeds unless I give this plug (in yellow) a jiggle or a tug... I can't believe I'm typing those 2 words



    Here's a personal pic of mine when pulled out of the connector:


    Does anybody know what the part number is for that pig tail? I took it out and one of the wires appears burnt or even partially melted.

    My blower is out as well. I'm gonna do some jiggling of the yellow plug after work. Let us know if you get the issue resolved, and if you find the pigtail! I'm curious. I need to get this figured out before winter hits

    Thanks. I took the Corolla to work today as soon as I get home I’ll see if this is what it takes. Thanks again hope it solves your issue as well. I am leaning over to give the harness a little tap now and then and with winter on the way I can’t have the heater crap out.

    I've been experiencing odd issues with mine too. I've replaced my blower motor harness (that attaches to the resistor) and it was good for a while. Now I'm having intermittent issues. What I find weird is the fact that these plugs "burn". As it relates to electricity, heat is developed when you have resistance. The plugs that go to those connections aren't small and I'm wondering why resistance is high. Poor connection? Do the prongs loosen and "gap" over time causing arcing? I'm really interested in this whole thing. I need to check this particular plug on my blower now too. I bet mine is in bad shape.
