I'd go, but unfortunately I'm photographing a wedding that day. So I'm out.

I may have my bumper on by then, so I would have loved to make it out and test out some high clearance.

Bummer! At some point we need the run the trail from RRG this summer and do some trail cleanup, trimming and cut up that hunk of metal/whatever that put us in the mud pit. It was a decent track I would like to do again.

I wonder if a battery powered grinder would cut through it? I think we would only need to make 2-4 cuts and then be able to move it off the trail

It was a crane arm. I'm guessing it's pretty tough steel, which means it may take a fair amount of batteries and blades to make it through. I looked at the bank on each side of it and I don't think it's wide enough to get a truck through, even with the arm gone. I think I remember considering trying to winch it out of the way, but then looked at the bank.

It's been so dry recently maybe that mud pit is passable now!

That was a pretty good trail though.

I’m headed out wheeling this coming Saturday for a day trip to Tar Hollow State Park in Vinton County Ohio. Currently it’s myself and two friends in JK’s. We usually leave a little later and wheel until dark.

If interested in joining, I will set up a meeting point and timeline. Just PM me and let me know.

That crane arm was there to stop you from trying to drive across an impassable spot. Theres no way you get a truck across that thing without rolling into the trench on one side or the mudpit on the other.

That hole is the trail now.

Weirdest hole ive ever gotten stuck in. I dont even think my truck high centered or anything, there was just nothing for the tires to bite on. Then i got out and was able to walk right across the top like Mud Jesus. Total nonsense

Not on that particular obstacle, but if it were muddy I probably would have broke something, or had a sweet gouge along the side of my truck.

Its an off camber hill with a rock jutting up at side view mirror height that you are leaning right into.
