That cmc patch is more so just to hide a rough edge from the wheel. You can braze a patch in there with a tig torch with zero chance of melting a hole in it if you're careful.

I believe they fixed the leaks, but that's why the pricing is where it is.

Also the F450 is already being looked at by a possible buyer... dang it.

Whats everyone in ma doing to get around the “height” laws at inspection time? Small tires?

What’s the regulation? Is it based on ride height, height differential from stock or the old BS formula they used to use?

For me, non issue, i’m stock

 

Just a name we liked.

2” up or down from stock for 2WD, formula for 4WD.

Some stations are more sticklers than others about it.

 

Wow, like Mike said there is a formula. It's got something to do with lift vs wheelbase etc.

Stock size tires on a second set of wheels

 

Tall people should sue the state for discrimination against their height. How many of those poor 7 footers have injured their backs or banged knees trying to crawl into tiny people cars? It's not fair, and even more, it's not right!

Most Tacoma’s should be within the legal height with allowed 3”. Plus you can go 3” larger in tire size. Some stations just don’t want to deal with it, even though you are legal.

Now you are talking the Peoples Republik of Socialist Massachusetts language! Threaten discrimination and while you are at it tell them you are 2% Asian and it's racist to deny your inspection based on height. Chances are you will get it paid for in full by an entitlement program of some sort.

 

They did fix all that stuff, turns out. I put a deposit down this morning.
