Over a $2 bill? That's the weirdest part to me, $2 bills haven't been relevant since the late 60's

I've only ever seen a couple that my parents kept stashed away when I was a kid

 

It’s brand new too, maybe it’s a fake, dunno

$2 bills are actually very common and still minted to this day. The reason you don’t see them in circulation is because people think it’s rare, and therefore they keep them out of circulation.

They still print them? huh I thought they stopped printing them by the 1970s

I don't think they're rare in that they're worth anything more than $2 but I still have never actually seen on get used, even in all the retail jobs I had as a kid.

Just looked it up and apparently they are rarely printed anymore compared to other denominations but still are to a degree...for some weird reason

 

They’re by no means rare. People just keep them because they have the same mindset as you haha.

 

On that note I vote we get rid of pennies...I fking hate pennies.

If I get pennies at the store I just drop them in whatever collection container is there by the register, or I'll leave them on the edge of something outside for someone else to grab. They just collect in my truck or on my dresser at home and get in the way.
