LOL, EASY SCHEDULE. Ranked 5th in difficulty. All of us NFL fans not of Patriots, wish we could have the Patriots easiest schedule in the AFCLeast.

Colts and Texans are not easy wins. Broncos and Lions though, they aren't looking that great.

If you say so, I have not caught one of their games yet. I try to watch a lot of teams.

Word was they barely squeaked out last week's win.

Last week wasn't pretty. They put up a mostly solid performance against the Chargers two weeks back. Beat two playoff teams. We'll see how this weekend goes. I don't expect a win, but also not a blowout either. Lions have a pretty damn good cornerback and safety in Slay and Diggs. Slay struggled on Allen against the Chargers most of the day but showed up when he was needed most to save the game

Slay status though? I heard he was hurt.

I read a lot of mine and opponent fan sites. Mainly sbnation sites.

Yaaa forgot about that. Hamstring. Went out after almost a big pick play last week. He was listed as limited for practice so we'll see. He's a huge loss to the defense no doubt. Amendola got hurt too which would be bad too. He's definitely a go-to target when Stafford is scrambling

    Bummer. (See my edit above)

Either way, can't wait to see what Mahomes does this game. He placed emphasis on the Lions defense. He's ready for em.

In this way, Mahomes is learning from his head coach (and mentor) Andy Reid, who somewhat famously sticks to his game week routine. Mahomes seemed much more interested in the Detroit Lions’ defense than he was about playing indoors.

”They played physical football,” he said of the upcoming opponent’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3. “They played a lot of man coverage. They really got up in everybody’s face. And then they stopped the run game for the most part.

“I think the biggest thing they did against the Eagles was that they capitalized on turnovers,” he added. “I think that [is] a big thing that they focus on: trying to get that ball out — if it’s interceptions or trying to strip the ball from the guys running with it. That’s a big thing that they capitalize on. So we’re going to try and protect the ball and move the ball down the field.”

Ya Slay being out will hurt them BIG time. He's such an impact player that if he's out it'll be tough to fill his shoes. Amendola came down HARD on a huge 3rd down grab. Did not look pretty. He'll be missed too but they have a lot of receivers. Defense is the Lions strongest aspect so we'll see how it goes. If the run defense is holding down like they did against the eagles, they're gonna struggle for sure in the secondary without Slay and with Mahomes slangin balls

To be fair, it doesn't matter what defense Mahomes plays. :p He always overcomes. Even when he commits mistakes, he more than makes up for it. Patriots and Rams games as examples. Patriots shut him down first half, he rattled off 31 points to tie the game in the AFC Championship only to be let down by a coin flip and a bottom ranked defense. O-Line failed at protection at the Rams game, made him fumble twice. He threw 2? interceptions? While the defense managed to get a fumble recovery touchdown and forced some turnovers, Mahomes helped the Chiefs get 44 points on the board to try and beat the Rams.

Kid is such a joy to watch. He's rewriting the books on what a talented QB is. (Not taking away from all the other greats, of course. Brady, Manning, Warner, etc. Even Aikman's salty bitch ass. LOL)

Just let them have their moment. We all know they’ll lose in the playoffs again. History always repeats itself.

They face off against our NFCN this year, which is one of, if not the, hardest divisions I'd say. The Vikings, Bears, and Packers (and possibly even the Lions) all have really good defenses and decent or better offenses. It's going to be a bloodbath fighting for the division champ and wouldn't be surprised if both wildcards come out of here as well.

I'm very interested how Mahomes does against our defenses and whether they are going to be able to contain him!
