Who cares, performance and base tunes will be selectable via the cruise control knob soon enough. This is all just BS in the meantime.

Has anyone ordered the HH during Labor Day, received a shipping label on the 13th, but it still hasn’t updated or been delivered?

I knew I was going to wait a long time, just want to be sure that after 17 days of the shipping label being created, I shouldn’t expect it to actually be shipped. If so, I may need to open a ticket.

 

Likely has not shipped. We have the next batch of handhelds arriving tomorrow and still expect to have all pending orders out by the end of the month

If I want to go to the 2.0 93 octane tune I would need to buy that little handheld flasher. My laptop seems to be suddenly incapable of running the software now, even though it wasnt more than 2 months ago I flashed it the first time. 399 is cheaper than buying a new damn laptop. I only care about 2 main things. I want the engine to produce AS MUCH power as it physically can, and I want perfect linear control over throttle with common sense shift points.

 

You're being nice. I'm already starting to lose my patience that I own an expensive Ovtune paperweight. Had I known that I couldn't use the HH when I bought it, I would have waited on the purchase.

 

Just to elaborate on my trip.
I overslept for a meeting in Porland. Left 45 min late, so I stepped on. I was taking my chances with WSP, but they were busy on other side.
I5 between Seattle and Portland does have an elevation, but I never went below 5th
There is a slight dead pedal in 6th, but I know to push more and it is responding.
There was enough power to accelerate in 6th
Tranny and TC temps were at 191.
As I mentioned, I stayed on the left and was traveling in 80-85 region. I competed my trip with Portland traffic at 60 mph average trip speed. Mpg was meh... 22.
This 19770 is waaaaay better the original 2.0 on open road

 

I’d probably be on the same train as you but I’ll be away from the truck till Oct 2nd. Even then I won’t be using it much due to being able to walk to work. The next time I really envision getting to use the truck is when I drive to work the Rampage event in Utah. Life of a Video Editor

 

You're 2017 go to PCM not P5Flash, if you have the dongle? Did you use P5flash last time??

@Lemon Taco Try updating the flash manager software. Help/ Update. Should show [Config 1.3.0] in the title bar right after Toyota Flash Manger.
edit: I see you did that. Is the P5 flash greyed out? Could be a reg file issue if your laptop did a Windows update.

 

I think he did the update, " I've Help Updated a few times and have all of the drivers." Is what he said. I believe that he is on the wrong flash?

 

I think he can't launch the p5 flash utility. It's the Toyota flash manager that says "Ready" in the bottom left. We need to know if the P5 flash utility button is greyed out on the tuning pull-down. Spitballing here...

You have to launch the flash manager to be able to launch the p5 flash utility and it's the flash manager that says "Ready" on bottom left as he stated originally. So with the limited info, I assume he is still staring at the flash manager after trying to launch p5 flash. That's why I want to know if that is greyed out. That would point to a reg file issue in my experience.

 

He's a 2017 Tacoma! PCM NOT P5Flash! Geez. Am I wrong? Please explain. Thank you.

 

Are they not programmed when you get them? There are some videos of how to use one online, it’s generic name is open flash tablet v2. https://www.openflashtablet.com/
There are some instructions on there but nothing specific to the Tacoma.

Mine was finally marked as shipped yesterday but it looks like it hasn’t been dropped off at ups yet.
