What kinda boots are you wearing? Mine got fucked up lol. They scrape the sheets in bed cause they're all calloused and rough. Fiancee hates it lol.

 

last few year have been the shitty bates. only cuz their cheap and i destroy them within a year. (use to go thru 2 pair a year at a old unit from traversing the helo on the flight deck. non skid destoryed the tread). i want to get some nice ones though i can re-sole and such. just hard to find side zip composte toe leather boots now adays with most brands

 

Doesn't sound like a common boot.

 

well now that everyone else is going that suade style or w/e its getting harder for us that need leather boots. and i prefer side zip for comfort and ease. safety toe is a newer requirement for us. (as a ET though its been a requirement for a long time since they didnt like us having metal in our boots)

on a side note, think im going to go with OME lift from the dealer. been reading decent things on it. just need to save up some money next few months so i can order the lift and front bumper at the same time.

Hard to polish suede....takes WAAAAYYY too long!!!

 

I use the lace in zippers....side zip comp toe are almost impossible to find

 

I hate side zip.

what makes you think i polish leather boots to begin with??? i only make sure its atleast blackend. thats it.

and you can find the boots. just takes a while to search. bates is the easiet to find but they are cheap and i go thru to them fast.

 

well each to their own. im just lazy and walk around most the time with them unzipped.

i dont care that much. and being on a boat, they get destroyed fast. between the non skid and knee knockers digging into the toe area.

Try the new Merrill tactical boots. I think they make a composite safety toe.

 

Ya its not easy on them. plus as a tech, i need mine polished all the time either. which is nice.
