How much are you paying for your 2019 Tacoma?

Am I reading this correctly? They r giving you over 8k discount? If true, by far the best deal I have seen. Will have to think about trading in mine if I can find a deal like this. Let us know how this goes.

 

Awesome looking truck, and sounds like you got a good deal. Question, what was the final truck price vs OTD price? I am working a deal with a few Steal-er-ships that I am targeting a Sport 4x4 DC LB with Prem/Tech for 35,000 Truck cost (+/-42K MSRP). At that target, I can get OTD (with taxes/trade/ect/ect) of around 37,000... Curious if your target price was what mine is.

I'm sorry. You guys can tell me I'm nuts but that MSRP LOOKS very high for the options listed.

 

Yeah, based upon those options it MSRP looks inflated 2k. For comparison here is similar specs (minus tonneau) from a dealer here

And this dealer took 6.5k off MSRP for me.

 

It’s hard to tell how good these deals are unless you know MSRP, rebates and dealer discount. There are a lot of $1,500 rebates right now. If there’s a trade involved then it’s even harder to tell.

 

Not if you compare apples to apples. Truck price after rebates (if taken) without down payment or trade. OTD is worthless cause taxes vary so much etc. start factoring in trade money down and it’s completely worthless. I could have posted I bought a 40k truck for 25300 if that were the case (trade in and down payment made a big difference). I think 6k off of sticker or 2-3k below sticker OTD is a pretty good benchmark for a good deal this time of year on a 19.

 

4WD and AT. I asked every sales guy I was in contact with for that exact configuration, all but one said "Come in, we'll work something out." One did all the ground work and sent me a scanned copy of the exact trucks info and a $500 hold authorization paper. Filled it out, was never charged, and had the car 24 hours later. That is great. It sounds like you got a motivated car salesman. It amazes me how lazy some of the guys out there in the industry are.

I put down a deposit on a 2020 Pro and my guy has gone radio silent. No allocation information, build date information. Nothing.

I thought it was too good to be true. The dealer started back peddling the next day. First he said the truck was no longer available, so I found the same one on his lot. Then he said that he mistakenly quoted me a price for one without the premium package. Lame.

I haven’t been able to get any other dealers to bite within 2k of his quote.

 

I got in touch with them after seeing your post. I got the same $34.8 offer but on a $39.5k msrp. I'm struggling to get dealers to get below 88% of msrp in the Seattle area.

 

I worked them over hard. Got beat up by them, but stuck to my guns. Now I’ve got my baby!

I paid $34,846

OTD price was $37,268 after tax, and fees.

Cement 2019 TRD Sport short bed crewcab 4x4 for $27k. Has the technology package, blacked out emblems, all weather floor mats, some other do dads. $39k truck before tax. Had "Hail Damage" I don't see it anywhere. They had it marked down to $35k because of Hail. Traded a 2014 Scion XD for $6.5k. Gotta it during a sales event with a couple other deals on it as well. I love the truck.

That was including my trade in price. I didn't haggle much other then monthly payment. It was just including all their sales and promotions at the time. They ran a $1000 cash back as well as $750 in rebates so it only ended up being like $1000-$1500 off after everything was said and done.

Got it. I assume hail damage doesn't mean salvage title or anything. Never heard or seen that before. Not one dent on the roof?

 

Regular title. The had a "Hail Sale" since it hails a lot where I'm located. I see no visible hail damage. The sales guy was saying some of the hail on their cars and trucks they couldn't see with a naked eye. They had to use a special light to find the damage.

 

Oddly enough the Tacoma is one of the best cars under the sun to lease.

 

If you don’t plan on driving it much. I put 22k miles a year on my current work vehicle. I’m buying a 2019 OR on Monday.
