The software upgrade was done in the spring. TY for the warning. One of the things I like about TW.

Good morning everyone. Need to pick up some seasoned dry hard wood today. I am doing a South Carolina style pork BBQ tomorrow. I will need a lot of coals in the smoker. I think I know where I can find some.

Did a seafood boil for family in Michigan this summer. Used 1 5oz packet of Louisiana seafood and crab boil spices and it was too spicy for most. :D

Having the real thing this week Tom. Down in NOLA for 5 days. Just did the WWII museum for 6 hours and thoroughly enjoyed it. They were having a WWII ceremony for veterans and I shook hands and thanked them for their service. One was in the South Pacific and was telling stories of his time there. Totally amazing to hear first hand. Anyone heading down here it is recommended to go it's well worth the admission. Here is why the museum is in NOLA and not DC.

Nice fact to know. So many of our parents served in WWII. Both my mom and dad served. Mom in England and dad in Italy. Most of my aunts and uncles on both sides of my family served.

I have two words for you if you are in NOLA, Commanders Palace, a meal that will not disappoint.

Don't rule out the State Park... way less people... better dispersed camping and better trails like the Road to No Where. Have a blast either way! We are heading out that area for Thanksgiving with like minded friends.

Good morning. Today is a South Carolina style BBQ on my WSM. Cook will take close to 12 hours. Starts with making coals for the WSM to cook the two pork butts.20190927_065947.jpg 20190927_073657.jpg 20190927_073917.jpg

    :pccoffee:  Hi there sixtys/wannabes/Rob/Susan.

Off to the hardware store to buy Yet Another Gallon of Paint. I did the drywall, now working on the cinder block with paint/sealer stuff. I sure will be happy when this garage wall painting job is done!

But then comes the floor... o_O

Well, I let worry overrule my normally frugal outlook. An earlier post got me concerned about battery life. My Tacoma battery was still working after 10 years, but it has a 74 month warranty. I changed it out just in case.

Thanks. I'll look into the state park. I want to do some off road exploring but nothing too challenging.
