I could see where losing weight needs new clothes so you aren’t wearing baggy clothes but if you’re gaining (the right kind of) weight then your clothes just get tighter and fit better in the right places to show off the gains. I wear a medium top and 30 pant and they fit me regardless if I’m at 160 or 180

I’m the fat one in here so my waist has gone from a tight 36. To loose. To 34. To loose. Now 32’s are loose as well. If I get down to 170ish then I’ll have to goto 30’s like you lol Hopefully that’s the last stop

I have found the same. I actually can swing about 15lbs in my clothes. The problem now is my shirts just get baggy but I hate tight fitting shirts anyways.

My current jeans have 2 inches of room when I sit. They aren’t falling off me.
When I buy tighter clothes and flux at all in weight it gets uncomfortable. I like the flexibility of stuff being looser.

I follow no real diet plan, I let the mirror and my clothes be my ultimate guide-the scale is pretty much a verifier. lol Wear a 34 waist pant comfortably. With no belt they fit just loosely enough to be comfortable but not hanging and I know I'm around 220. If they start feeling a little snug I check the scale and typically I have gained around 5 pounds or so and know it's time to step up the activity and/or reduce the calories! Got up to 230 at one point and was pushing against all my clothes, then went even higher to 232 and started freaking out! :annoyed: I'd prefer to be around 205 or 210 probably but my body just seems to be happy maintaining 220 with little effort. I don't look as good as I'd like but my strength maintains well there so for now (and most of the past 15 years) I'm ok with it. :)

Generation Iron is good. Born Strong on Netflix and the Fullsterkur documentary by Rogue are both strongman focused but amazing still.

The problem has always been about abuse primarily and then the possibility of underlying unknown/undiagnosed or flat out ignored health issues. Personally I want no part of them because I want to know what I have I got on my own AND, I won't lose it as quickly. But I have zero issue if anyone chooses to take them in whatever quantity. It's just not smart to get on multiple types and crazy amounts like most people trying to outcompete the next guy making a name for himself in the muscle world. Look at bodybuilders from the 50's and 60's, even into the 70's compared to the 80's and beyond and I'm certain you will see alot more deaths and ruined lives/health from guys in the latter.

Did you see that Phil Heath got second for his bubble gut? Body building is going to take a turn back towards physique, instead of uncontrolled mass, and I think that will reduce the extreme roid use that these folks put them selves through.

I've only followed BB very loosely over the last several years so I didn't know that, but not suprised. The psychological effect of juice is another reason I was always afraid to get into it. No matter how big and/or strong you get, you always feel too small or need improvement somewhere. Then you start to completely lose sight of what you started doing your training for and the next thing you know you're throwing your entire future health into the wind chasing a goal that you really will never achieve! Because if you wanted to be a ripped 250, then you'll push it to 260, then 275 and on and on...Not saying everyone, but far too many as is evidenced in the big names of the last 40+ years. I would hope for it to go back to the more balanced, muscular physiques of Arnolds and Sergio's day but unfortunately I don't know if that will happen because everyone likes a freak show! lol

BB is terrible to compare. Those guys are BEYOND extreme. They'd laugh at what an average person uses. They probably do that daily, rather than weekly.

Old school era like the now-a-days classic physique is much more pleasing and attainable.

Intermittent Fast Day 1, Hour 19, currently 3 hours into my eating window.
So far I feel... the same. No magic gains yet, stay tuned.

Miserable workout yesterday. I quit halfway through. Hoping todays leg day is better.

They are hard to come by. I really like Michael Westwoods documentary.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHRhHPKZI50

The other guys make them seem terrible, but they all have abused beyond measures we even can think about. Once you get there, it's not nearly as hard to maintain - it's the risk getting there.... Unless you're top 10 on olympia stage in BB, then you're doomed.

A sport that values extreme vanity is obviously doing to be a prime breeding ground for body dysmorphic disorders.
