Did you have to remove the front bumper to install? Or just the grill? their website says the whole bumper needs to be removed...If so, that's alot for those.

I love this "Silver Sky" color. I can go weeks without washing my truck compared to the black '16 SR5 I use to own. :)

i didnt remove my whole bumper, i used a 2' long thin piece of pine wood to kind of pry my bumper down using shop rags to protect the bumper and headlamp while i unscrewed the screw thats hard to get to (the mounting screw closest to the fender) the other one is easy to access with just the grill off.
tip- use a magnetic screwdriver to remove and reinstall the difficult to reach screw. you dont want to drop it down below like i did...
it really isnt that hard, just go slow and dont break stuff

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Order placed with Headstrong Offroad for Icon 3-leaf AAL and OME 885s.

Got word that my SCS Stealth 6s arrived at Discount Tire. Wanted to get them on this week, might have to wait 'til next.

My wallet is leaving me and moving back in with the folks.

I'm debating it heavily. Right now I'm liking the look of them by themselves but I could really see myself wanting a fully cleaned exterior in the near future. My tastes just change so much haha.

I originally wanted an Access Cab but the dealer didn't have any on the lot. They had one on the way but I didn't want to wait. The sales girl did an exceptional job convincing me it was a double cab that I wanted. She said, and I have no idea if this is BS or not, that 1. Access Cab is only available with a 4 cylinder. 2. Access Cab wasn't very popular and that's why they didn't have any. What I ended up with was more truck than I was expecting and the price was exceptional so I bit. Also, in the back of my mind was the 1999 Taco that I also bought brand new. It had a 4 banger and was a bit on the sluggish side but I could live with that. But what I absolutely hated was that it was, and still is, the most uncomfortable vehicle I've ever owned. Ergonomically, it just wasn't right for me and any trip of more than a hunderd miles would leave aching all over and lower back pain. I was suspect that this was no longer the case but still the thought of it made it easy to talk me into a double cab. But at the end of the day, I already decided that I was driving home in a brand new Taco and I did. :amen:

When I was searching in late 2015 there were only a handful of access cabs in my area. Started pricing and local prices were the same as a double cab. The lots were flooded with double cabs. Already had an 08 double and just never used the rear seat. Wanted the long bed. Ended up driving to another state to get an access cab Sport. Paid less than the locals wanted for an access SR5. No regrets at all.

If I had better pull out game I would prefer the access cab. Too bad they don't make baby seats for the bed of truck.

When I was looking for an access cab, I called every Toyota dealer with 40 miles... nothing.

Finally talked to the manager of the dealership closest to me. He said "We can't get them. They're allocated by Toyota by region. If you want one, head south or west maybe."

Ended up buying over the internet and having it trucked in from southwestern Missouri.

Waaaay past that. My kids are in their 20's and 30's. The 12 yr old grandkid is fine in the jump seats. Even my adult kids have been ok on 3 hour trips in those jump seats.
