So those are spares? I see you have new ones.

The new ones never come with the cone washers so you’ll have to reuse the old hardware.

 

Yep, just rebuilding the spares in case I ever need them, or someone else around me.

Are the cone washers easy to find? Mine aren't horrible but I figured it wouldn't hurt to replace them.

Wish I had a media blaster; unsure if I want to go silver/black or old school and use red/black.

 

Bring them by and I’ll blast them for you. Cone washers are still sold by Toyota.

I bought new studs and washers off of ebay and also from Marlin

 

they are the same for IFS trucks and solid axle trucks even if the hub bodies and gears are different

I get to drive 6 hours tonight after work on ~3 hours of sleep last night, gonna be a blast

 

taking a nap makes the drive end sooner

I'll be driving 6-8 hours tomorrow after krow so I feel the pain

 

I'm terrible at napping...hardly ever have a successful one. My mind always races when I try to take a nap during the day thinking about stuff I need to get done afterward

 

it was real foggy out at the Gay Bar but i made it in time for lunch before heading out west





i bet they have some real good times here in the winter with a lake storm and 10+ feet snow piling up everywhere
perhaps i should venture back up north there in the winter in the future

its a town of about 50 people founded in the 1800s or early 1900s by a guy whose last name was Gay and that was his house they turned into a bar for a tourist stop
or so the story i read about it

Have a friend's wedding in Santa Cruz this weekend, we're flying up again in 2 weeks for the baby shower so we're driving up this time. Gonna be doing a ton of driving the next couple of days

 

I half way wanna stay out here. Its a 2.5 hour drive home rn and counting
