They go fast man, one was listed for 3k yesterday in Fayetteville with ~5k miles. Sold within 30 minutes and I assume they paid less than 3k. This is on marketplace as the majority of buisness has shifted there versus craigslist. One still up right now asking 3k for 2k miles.

The FZ09/MT09 is a great bike. Throttle is way too laggy and the bike is small, almost same size as the FZ-07 (6'3 230 here). 2017 model that you have is very nice and fixed the laggy throttle (and looks better than the ugly as sin 14-16), but it is still ride by wire and there will always be some lag which makes controlling the bike more difficult than a 20 year old F4i for certain applications. Aaron Colton used to rip one but switched as it proved very difficult. Great motorcycle in and of itself, can't argue with its success in the market. Lastly price on the 2017+ are fairly high still, can get a used 2013+ 636 for around the same cost, maybe even some money left over and have something more capable - would just need aftermarket rearsets and bars.

Yes but many people who get the FZ style bike don't want the typical sports bike style of something like a 636. I did not want the same kind of bike that literally everyone else I see on the road, did not want the bent over riding position that is uncomfortable on my back and wrists, and I am one of the few that like the naked style. I don't ride much on highways so no windscreen / wind buffeting isn't really a factor for me either.

I love my '17 FZ09; looks, power, handling, etc. Probably the only thing a nicer sportsbike would have better is suspension. Certain roads and bumps are fairly rough on the FZ.

I'll always have a soft stop for sporties, but after riding on a bigger frame I'm just way more comfortable. Eventually I'd like to get a carbureted sporty to hardtail and do something like a 2-3" stretch.

I'm waiting for the LowriderS to show up in dealerships here to I can test ride it. That'll seal the deal for me if I really want it or not. The increased power and upgraded front suspension being the big things but also adding 1.5 gallons capacity will expand my range a lot.

Side note: your dealership has Xmas shit up already? We haven't even made it past Spooktober!

Link to the one that is still up? I searched yesterday but could not find anything with less than 12k-15k miles for under $3,750-$4k. If you know of one that is $3k and only has 2k miles I will purchase it immediately.

If I end up getting the Lowrider, I have even toyed with the idea of getting my SCS wheels color matched to the burnt bronze so that truck and the bike be all twinsies.

    :anonymous:

A little insta-stupid I know, but nobody will know unless they see both vehicles together.

Once I was at a friend's tech day working on a wheel or something and I look over at my bike and notice a circle where a large nut/endcap should be. I walk around to the left side of the bike and sure enough the swingarm bolt is a few inches out. No wonder the bike felt a little squirrely in the curves that morning riding to the tech day!!
