Just installed an AFE intake. Part number 51-82342 AFE MagnumFORCE Stage-2 Si Pro DRY S Intake System

Install took about an hour. The new kit came with an extension for the smog pump plug. That's the only thing I didn't like about this setup because it wasn't a sealed plug on one end, just 2 wire leads that extended to a socket so dirt and moisture could potentially get into the connection. Thankfully I didn't need it. The original wiring harnesses reached just fine. If anyone is doing this on a 2012-2015 just pm me and I'll tell you what I did to get extra slack on the original harness. It sounds so much better and I like the fact that it's a lifetime dry filter rather than one that needs to be oiled. As far as power improvement I can't tell for sure. Feels like it has better response on the pedal..maybe it's just in my head because it sounds better...I took a before and after sound clip of the intake vs stock and put it on YouTube.

If you are going for sound then that is about what your going to get. Unless you are running a S/C you won't see much (if any) gains in power / performance. Our trucks "essentially" come with a CAI. Looks good though

True. Wasn't going for a noticeable power gain with this. I knew I wasn't going to get it. I will not be disappointed if me and my brother end up neck and neck on our test runs.. Just interested to see if there is any difference at all from the advertised (probably exaggerated) "up to +13hp and +21 ft-lbs torque" on the intake paired with the TRD exhaust.

Just installed the same afe cai on my 2015 Dcsb. Did you notice a gap between the air box and the fenderwell hole? There is a sealing strip that i put around the air hole on the outside of the box, but it is not pressing up against the hole on the wheel well. Not sure if this is suppose sed to be this way or what? It defeats the purpose of a true cai if it is not getting cold air from outside the engine compartment. Does yours do the same of did i miss something?

F2777824-E08C-45C2-9D84-6A0070AF3D74.jpg I had this for three months. Was ok. No power gains. Fuel mileage stayed the same. Noise was pretty much the same. Went back to stock.

Did intake air temps increase/decrease/remain the same?

Are you missing the filter there?

Filter is in the stock location, it's just pulling air from the grille instead of the passenger fender with the stock air tube
