Yeah... I intend to truck shop here eventually for that reason. That taco can, and has, done it. It did not enjoy itself though. Drove the car to and from the track days this summer.

Lol I’d love to see this crate motor you’re planning to drop into your taco.

Everybody has different perspectives and opinions. There is a certain intrigue with doing work and having it perform better. Look at our Tacoma’s... People pour money it to make them the way they want them.

When I had my Evo I could destroy many Corvettes, M3’s and Cobra Mustangs when I used to be involved in type of stuff. Its something to pull up to a car or have them try to impress you with a car that comes from the factory with “everything” and can get outperformed by an “inferior” model.

By the way, the Corvette is nice but getting one for that price is not going to be the norm especially since the nicer models are waaaaay more than that. That is the price they are advertised for that particular model.

This is a Tacoma forum so I can’t see bickering back and forth over performance cars. It’s not even Friday yet!

    Stock and staying that way
If they were available at the first of the year, I'd buy one. Paying off the Tacoma on 10/4. The C8 appeals to me, but I would keep the Taco.

That said, probably best to wait for the second or third model year.

I have all but decided to buy a GT500 or C8, whichever I can order first for MSRP with a reasonable delivery time.

I won't be buying a C8 prior to the 2022 model year, giving Bowling Green one year to find design/manufacturing issues and another year to correct them.
I won't be turning my Tacomas in for one though. Corvette is a weekend vehicle for me, not practical for daily driving.

I do love them though, had dozens of them over the years including my current '17 Grandsport Convertible.

You think you’re gonna get 18-20 off a C8 vette in the next 12 months? Pass the doobie dude.

I agree, as he will be lucky to get one at MSRP. Many dealers will be adding market adjustments.

    He's some photos:

I think it looks nice. I can’t wait to drive one and compare it to my C7. I would definitely NOT buy a first year C8. I no longer enjoy alpha or beta testing.

    Two questions.
How do you have an SR5 TRD I thought those were different trim levels.
Most importantly...What’s the specs on those sliders I really like the fit.

The mid-years are still probably my favorites. Here's an all original '66 327/350hp.

Where there is a will there is a way, no rush to get one but once the 2021 come out, clearance price will hit plus I love the tacoma to mush rush to get a c8 unless the price is right
