    Hi everyone
I'm new here but probably will be a regular participant here after I buy my tacoma soon.

I want to ask you guy the real users if the following truck is worth the money.
    So
2001, double cab, V6, 4x4, 119k miles, 1 owner truck, with power everything, 16" alloy wheels, trailer hitch and towing package, and matching fiberglass cap.

    I'm paying $10k for it.

    Please advice.

Yeah for sure. My buddy bought the same but with 160k on it for 8500. But he is an idiot.

    Thank you for quick response.
I also was looking at one with 160k miles but that figure threw me away although it was 2004.

    Another question:
What is worse low mileage and older truck or higher milage on newer truck - like this:
    2004 w/ 160k vs. 2001 100k

I like lower miles but it also matters who drives it. If a young kid (like me) is driving then my miles are a bit harder on the truck then a 60 yr old.

    Yes.
That's an good deal compared to many I have seen here in Arizona. Toyotas tend to hold a decent value, especially with low miles. Then again, I have a 2001 Sienna with 365,000 miles...

    Thank you for your replies

Now, can you advice me what I have to pay attention to when buying tacoma with bed cap,
Are there things I should be aware of?
can someone explain how the frame recall is affecting trucks? all must be fixed or just some particular models?
Do bed caps have flaws that I need to check for?
Truck has 119k miles, how can I check is fluids where done?
does v6 truck of 2001 has timing belt? How do I see if it was replaced?

    Thank you

Added: and how does auto transmission perform on high mileage tacomas?
