Can anyone show me a picture of this output shaft on the passenger side of the front diff? I think mine rotated some how or my front diff mount is massively bent on the right. When I mount my diff the right side goes crazy high and is way wrong. Not sure if it's from the axle breaking that pushed the diff all crazy or what. Or do they make a bigger heavy duty output shaft?20190926_184338.jpg

I did mine last week. I had a branch fall on my windshield while under that tree outside Sonoita on our trip.

Biiiiiiig sigh of relief. Got the check engine light working with an LED bulb. Also cleaned so much dust and unidentified animal hair from inside the dash.

Now I need to drive around enough to meet the smog check system requirements and rush over there.

They are the the joint on the steering wheel and the Allen head rounded out when I did the steering rod weld a few years ago.

Ugh I was going to build something like that. If you hate it, hit me up. I’m only 10 hours or so away.

That’s for a manual hub diff, is yours a manual hub setup? Pics of the bends?

Drop a plumb from widest part of door and that should be your minimum length.

you don't think stuffing the frame with McDonalds fries would help to soak up whatever winter slop finds its way inside?

    Not removed, just loosened.

I had professional installers do it so I was taking the picture of these guys doing the work.

I think the bracket is bent that holds the diff. In the second pic it really looks tweaked to the side but I'm not sure if this is bent like this from the factory. It's the right bracket for the front diff. Manual transmission. 20190927_094957.jpg 20190927_095005.jpg

Getting my the skid plate ready for POR-15. Need to apply the metal prep and then the POR-15. I'll post an after picture.

    skid plate.jpg

I do like that POR15 is very fluid like when applying so that it gets into and undernearth metal crevices. Just make sure you put tape over your screw holes.
    It hardens pretty quick.

Checked the EGR Vacuum Solenoid and confirmed it's not holding vacuum. Ordered a new one and should be in my hands on Monday. :bananadance:

Can anyone confirm that this is my front dif leaking, and if so, would that make my transmission louder than usual?
