I bought an Owl dash cam from offer up. Barley used and had everything with it for 140. Brand new its 300, it has LTE so you can link it to your phone. I mainly got it incase someone screws with my truck and night i have the video clips.

Wife bought me some pos model for 80$ with front and rear camera. Have no idea how it works. Still laying in floorboard

Great front in the day time, lousy at both at night. Third one I got myself for Christmas last year, after first two crapped out.
Try to find one that has the "features" you want at lowest price (Heck, WalMart prices start around @$25~!). Use that until you figure out what you want better.
I would presume that good night vision is on your list. Also, I noted that most rear cams are useful for Uber drivers only, you don't see out the window too much. So you can consider getting TWO medium price ones, for both front and back windows.

UPDATE EDIT: Hell, I just looked at this link from my order, and I paid $60. TOTALLY not worth the current price!

 

I did a good amount of research. This camera glitches at times, meaning its delayed. I have an android phone and the camera was initially made for iphone so im not sure if thats the problem. I get live alerts and can check up if im states away to make sure my truck isnt being damaged. Its 100 bucks a year for the LTE service. So far i think its worth it. Not to mention i work nights sometimes and drive a state truck so i wont be worried about leaving my personal unattended in the parking lot.

Remember, 95% of this comes from China, so all prices have increased, and instructions will vary greatly. I really liked the first one I had, but it was a freaking "R&D" model, and when I went to complain, the manufacturer was gone from Amazon.

My only point was that last Christmas, I paid $60, now it's three times that nearly. I was not making any political point, as we don't do that here. Fact is, most of these devices come from there, so costs (to us) have increased.

 

Like I said they’ve screwed us for too long. I’d pay more for something made elsewhere. I’d pay 3x more for USA made
