I had to purchase longer bolts for my clamps in order to fit my second gen to the third gen.

Maybe that's just all it'll take. As long as I'm not the only one... It should be coming from a 2nd gen to 2nd gen though. :notsure:

Guess a trip to Home Depot is in the near future.. :spending:

These are my clamps (2nd gen) on my 3rd gen truck. I think the bolts I purchased were 3.5" long

I see from the picture I have to adjust one!

Thanks for the info. I'll have to pick some up later today.

I need to order new seals and a safety catch from Diamondback as well anyway.

Funny, I just did that also. The seals are $22.00 each (weather-stripping). I bought for the front and back panel. I don't know about the safety catch. I probably need that! I also purchased the two rear rod-locks they were $5.00 each. Nice aluminum, I was surprised. Have fun!

I plan on it. I emailed them earlier asking about the seals and catch and for a listing of replacement parts for that model that they still sell so I can see if there's anything else worth replacing.

Added a pressurized solar shower to my rack system, It made out of 5' of 6"PVC pipe 2 caps and a T the water outlet is a 1/2 pipe to hose fitting. I drilled thru the end cap and threaded the hole so it would be the lowest point also the strongest spot to thread. then I used a 45degree hose fitting with a shut off and a quick disconnect fitting so I can store the hose in the truck when not in use. Painted it black with bed liner. on my trip in Moab I had hot water all day and night I was able to pressurize it up to about 60psi. and it would shoot about 40 feet. It hold 5-6 gallons of water and cost about 75$ to build. To mount it to the rack I used 3/8 threaded rod and some 1 1/4x 1/4" flat steel. If you need close up pic's just ask and I'll take some . Not really interested in selling them, just trying to share the design.

Not sure if it has been said yet, but you could wire a temporary brake light from a trailer and have it connected to a 4 pin connector that plugs into your trailer wiring plug.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have done it differently, as I described in a post on the previous page. I wired it into the tail light.

Bingo. Some crooked-ass cleats and weather stripping. Only issue is the weather stripping doesn't quite seal on the tailgate.
