So in your daily diet do you ever consume rice or potatoes?
    Fruit?
80-100g carbs a day in veggies is a lot of veggies which is why I ask.

You will come over to the darkside, I'll keep working on you. I know your jaw hit the ground when I showed you the natural GH profiles of people who fast... wana know what happens to your metabolism when you fast? Hint - keto. When its all over, you can totally have a piece of pie in the morning for breakfast or pre workout.

I dont eat any of those things regularly. I eat a massive pile of veggies, and then what yall refer to as "cheat" items. Which is so dumb by the way. Its not cheating if its in your meal plan. For me thats pie, pizza, chocolate milk, popcorn, sometimes potatoes. And yes, these are small pieces, and not daily. But usually 3 times a week.

Its sensible if you include the rest of the quote, and understand proportions, and workout, and like being happy.

I do not refer to any part of my diet by using the psychologically unhealthy term “cheating”. Thats all the other clowns around here.

my donuts this morning weren’t really a cheat. It’s cheating because I’m not eating the same shit I eat everyday from my plan but it’s not cheating because my macros are still pretty much in line. I think I’ll be about 40calories over bc of them. I did an extra squat earlier. We good fam

I never told myself I was never going to eat pizza again. I never told myself I was not going to have ice cream again, therefore its not cheating if I consume those items. I’m not a bad person, I’m not dishonest, I’m not doing something unethical (which is what the term cheating implies).

So as long as you plan to cheat and let people know you're going to cheat....then its not cheating

As long as you keep it within your macro profile, time it correctly with your workouts, and dont do it daily, and dont feel guilty afterwards.

    Nah. And here’s why...

Basically, time and effort are what it boils down to For me.

Time- I’m busy. I have a lot of things going. I’m a dad. I’m a husband. Who cares? Lots of people are busy. Then we get to effort...

Effort - eating a keto/ish diet with a strict eating window would be more difficult for me. Id have to put a lot more effort into making sure my foods were readily available. what would I do when my family wants to go get ice cream, or eat out side my window? Sure, very possible. But I’m not willing to put in the effort.

For me, the IIFYM approach is what I can stick with and still enjoy the parts of my life that aren’t fitness. Because of my family, my meal plans and schedule gets yanked around a lot. There’s lots of wiggle room with what I’m doing.
