Job came up where I needed it, so I sacrificed the debit card @ survey supply store...

Still may want to talk with you about fabbing one up. Am thinking 3D printing may be way to go on those internal pieces.

Worked her hard today in 4Lo for most of it. Even got some locker action in.

At one point I noted a sickly smell -- like antifreeze/coolant or something. Later I discovered my coolant overflow cap was loose, and the reservoir was low on coolant.

I was worried cuz the AT idiot needle had ticked above it's normal 9 o'clock position.
I had parked her & shut off the motor. Next time I parked in the shade under a tree, popped the hood & let her idle so the fan was running... then I noticed all the crap from the fields that had collected in the radiator...

This works... but what are my 1st gen options for some sort of customizable dash mounts to securely hold a fairly substantial device?

There isn't really anything out there. I spent forever searching for something to hold an iPad. Unless you don't care about drilling into the dash, then anything is possible.

Here is a topographic mapping project I wrapped up today. The majority of the points were obtained driving my Taco across hill and dale...
