You don’t have to remove the bed, unless there’s some inside joke I’m missing.

 

You don’t really have to but it makes things 1000x easier for welding. We took mine off for the relocate and hanger install at the same time.

 

You don't really need too. You can just unbolt and lift as well to get that back side if you must. Or just leave it open in the back like most people do
