I will keep the main larger overload. I also have airbags so I am not worried about flattening out

Gotcha, I was just thinking you were gonna do away with the airbags.

god I wish the habitat sat that tight on the tundra. It could easily sit a few inches lower to the cab and I would get a lot less drag. that's by far my biggest complaint, I'm not a fan of the universal fit. I'm just shy of 8 foot tall...

OUCH! almost 8? I'm at 7'2" and that's been a big enough pain.

    I believe I’m currently sitting at 7’11”.

it took me a while to find a place that had a tall enough door to store the tundra. Most places don’t have doors that tall...

I feel you. My spot last year required two sets of summer wheels in the bed and my not-so-svette father sitting on the tailgate to get in. With the bags empty I can juuuuuust squeeze under 7’ doors.

i got lucky and found this place. It actually works out pretty well because I have enough space to open it up and let it dry out after trips.

I’ve been looking for a good storage solution for my habitat poles and I think I finally figured it out. I’ve kept them in this location since I picked it up and for the most part they’ve stayed put even on some pretty rough trails

I found some heave duty outdoor Velcro and I wrapped each pole in 3 spots and then put a strip along the rail. I don’t think I’ve gotta worry about them moving again, they are stuck quite well

no idea. I’ll reach out to them at some point here and find out more. I believe it’s made by dragonfly tarps, the guys that do the sprinter van tarp things

I was going to make a screen room for mine.

No-see-um mesh with that sand mat/rug bottom. Standard tent pole hooks around the top that will hang on the cantilever edge, main tent goes over it all as normal. Then shock cord to hold it tight around the body.

My biggest thing with the tarp style is the lack of bug protection. I used to have a screen room with no floor (just a simple stand-alone Coleman one) and it kept most of the mosquitoes out, but still ants, spiders and such came under. Now that I've got my ARB awning room with floor, I couldn't be happier. Being on the side of the Habitat obviously I can't just go directly from the awning into the bed of the truck, but I'm seldom in and out of the Habitat during the day. And the room does have access to the rear door of the truck.

Here's a couple. And if you aren't familiar with the ARB awning and room, they are two separate things. One is just the awning, and the room hangs from it. This is the Deluxe Room which has screens on 3 sides with panels that roll up on the outside that make it a solid wall. The screens can also open. Then the wall against the truck can be unzipped to get to your vehicle, in my case the back seat. My wife and I love it.

thank you, that is an awesome looking set up.
I just wish my Flippac had the same quality tent that the Habitat does. :(

That's actually my rig to the right ( without the tarp ). I got to check out the prototype ( featured in the photo ). It's made really well. It has clips that just clip onto the side of the flipped out habitat all the way around the side. Then it has stakes to tie it down. They are still working some things out but I'm excited for it.
