I don't track it but I take a pretty hefty dose of psyllium husk before bed. Makes for very nice poops in the AM.

Caught a pump. Found some lighting that makes it look like I have abs. Flexed so hard. Good week of training. Time to rest. Have a good weekend, gentlemen.

    Fellas,

Im gonna stop posting here. This is not what I imagined when joining this thread. I enjoy posting studies and talking shop about the optimal and most efficient ways to achieve our goals (defining the best is different than settling for the first thing that works). I also enjoy the sarcasm and socializing too. My experiences indicate this is not the norm. @SixtyDashOne , I both an MD and a PhD. I study pharmacology and metabolism. I help patients, like yourself, go from 400lbs to 200lbs, or whatever their goals are. I am the person who does the studies you read about on pubmed, that end up getting taken out of context on CNN and various blogs, etc. Your transformation is a powerful experience, but I still think you are an ass. And I think your perspective on metabolism is based on your singular biased experience. Good for you for making the life changes - that is the hardest part. No arguments about metabolism or data can overcome the difficulty of actually loosing the weight. Its a mental game. Ive posted some helpful information over the last 20 pages of this thread that you might find interesting to read. And yes, you can cheat on your meal plan - cheating does not mean binging. Sometimes you have to have ice cream with your kids, which is a point I hope I have made.

If someone wants to chat about exercise physiology or metabolism in a serious context, PM me.

Damn 5 sets of 10 paused high bar squats sucked major ass.

Followed by RDLs with (you guessed it) a pause!

Then lunges, leg abductions, situps, plank hold, calf raises, and a little yoga to cool down. Off tomorrow then back at it Sunday.

You’re now the second dude to say “I just won’t comment anymore” after someone disagrees with you rather than just toughing it out. Which is a shame cause you do provide interesting answers and studies.

Just goto the gym and get a pump and be as tough as your muscles should be.

Ok, fair enough. But just remember Doc. You engaged me first by slandering me; and assuming i had a lack of knowledge in this area. I am not going to sit here and lie and say that refeed meals are not an absolute necessity. Id be lying and i am not in the business of lying. However, im simply going to point out the fact that your inference that “i know nothing” was before you knew what i had to offer. That is a Fairly shortsighted theory as a medical doctor. And while i am not a medical doctor; i am a well educated individual and i also consider my knowledge and willingness to continue learning a benefit to anyone who wants to learn

Do i eat pizza? Yes. Do i eat hamburgers? Yes. Do i consider them “cheat” meals? No. I consider them part of life.

Your contextual use of how they can be used; is where the confusion was drawn. Take that for whatever its worth

And , again; i dont think i am an “ass”. You made a rude comment; and i replied. I posted a picture; which you ignored. And now you want to leave.

You want to have a real conversation about metabolism and exercise? Lets start

I paid to do that. When this becomes work, and not fun work, I'm not going to do it anymore.

Its not about disagreeing, I can handle that. There are a lot respectable people on this thread that disagree. The difference is they are respectable, and genuinely interested in understanding alternative opinions. To be honest, I'm not supposed to be doing this. I can get fired for being too controversial on social media. Its imperative that I remain anonymous. So slips in judgement, when I do react to people being an asshole, can have big consequences for me if things get out of hand. I'm human, so that is going to happen from time to time - like today. Its not worth it. I work long hours and thought it would be nice to chat with like minded people, which is not going to happen respectfully on this thread.
