    HELLO TACOMAWORLD!!!

Recently, I picked up a beautiful 2011 Manual Mag Grey Taco DCSB. I am so stoked! I am only 15, so I can't legally drive yet, but I have my drivers exam scheduled in a few weeks. I bought this because I needed a rig that could haul my moto's and mountain bikes, but also handle the long, harsh, Minnesota winters. I love this truck so much, the first few days I had it, all I did was sit inside and crank my music. Anyways, since I won't be driving (legally) for a couple weeks, I am wondering if anyone is willing to pass down some knowledge and experience to me about Tacoma ownership. Everything is appreciated. Info about mods? stories? suggestions? concerns? TW etiquette? Life advice lol? Let me know!

    UPDATE*****************
on saturday me and mom were hauling ass to a dirt bike race and the clutch fried on the way there. I was going a good 75ish when the power and speed just starts dropping as the RPM's climb. I pulled over and gave it a minute to sit and cool down, and when I turned it on again to see if it would drive, the clutch had no catch whatsoever. bummer lol. It's in the shop. RIP Sophie 9/14/19-9/28/19

    Truck's name is Sophie.

    Mod list:
    -BFG k02 285/65r18
    -KMC XD 18" wheels
    -5100 shocks
    -Damello front bumper
    -TJM winch
-not sure what brand rear bumper
    -Sony stereo with BT
I might be forgetting some others.

Thanks, thats one of the first things I need to do before the winter road salt eats thru it haha. Should I remove all of the current paint and then add primer and paint? sorry, I'm new to all of this stuff!

Personally I would just sand it down with 400g or scotchbrite pads and spray with linex or a rock guard type of paint. durable plus resistant to the elements.

The Taurus sound like a beast. I have some experience from working on dirt bikes and I have some good friends with tools and shops, but I am willing to put in all the work I need to keep er going. anything specific that I should look out for tho?

Frame protection should be number 1 priority. Look up flood film and similar frame products
