Ive ran into a certain type of barrel nut on an AR that required a real skinny crows foot wrench in like 1&5/8". Snap on was the only option. All the cheapos were too thick.

Some free float handguards require their own proprietary barrel nut that a normal armorers tool wont work with. Every seekins precision handguard Ive installed is like that. Needs a crowsfoot. Course that was years ago, they may have changed the design by now.

    Want to talk specialty tools?

Up until recently with this small batch, you couldn't get a Knight stick anywhere even if your life depended on it.

Knight stick = knight's armament barrel extension wrench

Knight's armament uses a proprietary bolt so using an extension wrench made for standard AR's just fucks everything up.

I've got multiple KAC rifles, and I've had my Knight stick for many years with offers more than triple what I paid. :spy:

My grandparents used to live down the street from KAC. You need a background check to even walk into their showroom cause of all their .mil and leo stuff on display. Real cool place though. Their factory is near Cape Canaveral, Ive thought of applying their as a maintenance tech once I get out of school. Although FN Herstal would be a lot closer to me right now.

I built my AR's. Gathered top tier parts over the course of a year or so and built as I got stuff in the mail.

I don’t have anything against other tool brands. To be honest I use most of my harbor freight Pittsburgh stuff more than we use snap on because of working on junk cars and traveling you lose something it isn’t a $150 3/8 ratchet instead it’s $25 from harbor freight
