Drippin front Diff.

Hi All,
I changed all the fluids about year ago. Everything has been just fine for the last 11 months. The other day I noticed a couple of spots of leaked gear oil on the garage floor. I checked the front diff. and sure enough there was gear oil oozing from the drain plug. Everything was torqued to spec when I changed the fluid. I used the correct washer..

Does it matter which side of the crush washer you place toward the diff?
One side is flat and the other has the crushable ridge..
I have not done any off-roading. I switch to 4WD every couple of months to stir things up and that is about all the stress I give the front diff.
I did take my 07 sport in to the stealersheep to have the alignment checked from when they did the rear spring TSB. They found everything to spec. hehe... They wouldn't have screwed anything up would they?? I noticed the leak about a week after I got my coma back.
Any Ideas...?

They could have messed it up, but I doubt it.
I would just change the fluid again and make sure everything was good to go.
Just checking are you sure it is the plug leaking, not a seal or something.

 

Yep.. I checked. I can wipe the area and a drip of oil will form a while later. Not much. Just enough to cause me concern. Thanks for your help.

 

Ya that sucks, but I would change it again to be safe. Then if it still leaks you know there might be a more serious problem. Or you might just have a wierd plug.
