Retrofit Headlights

So I did my retrofit headlights and I got some silicone in them when I opened them up! It’s on the inside part where there is protective film! It’s not super noticeable but it bugs me. Does anyone have any recommendations on getting it off? Or am I better just buying a new plastic piece or something. I’m planning to open them up soon and add a second projector repaint my headlights and really clean them good and get all of the shit outa the lens etc. I’d appreciate any recommendations and y’all’s thoughts.

No this is a legit cry for help I have no idea how to clean them or fix the inside

 

I have always found WD40 is good for removing dried silicone, but you’d have to open them up. WD40, followed by windex to clean off the WD40, then dishsoap and water and handle with clean new gloves.

 

Those are fucking tits. Leave them alone and enjoy them until you are ready to open them back up and paint them again.

 

Now there's a really bright idea (no pun intended) to have RED lights in the front of your vehicle. Both extraordinarily unsafe and quite illegal too. I'm pretty sure any color other than white or amber is not allowed in front.

 

I believe you are correct. Other colors are for emergency vehicles only. I do know of a few getting fix it tickets for it.

 

This mod is just asking to get pulled over by the local authorities.

 

Agreed. And to be honest it’s a terrible look.

 

He came here asking for help and has quite a LOT of people who think his truck looks incredible (me included). If you aren't going to offer advice then your opinion based off of his personal preference has no place here; you aren't paying his truck payment after all. Don't discourage his build based off of your limited ability to perform a similar modification.
