    Metro restyling for sure.

Kpmf has better colors, but their film sucks to install, but for the color you want they may be a good fit.

If I were to guess, the amount of name recognition they have completely negates any need for basic customer service.

I couldn't even imagine cross country in one of them. Especially for highway use, I just don't think their craptastic gasser shitboxes are up to the task.

Is anyone using InReach or is cell phone a good bet for help if needed? I am going to start exploring alone.

Inreach is a good backup for sure. Maybe a cell booster, HAM radio etc would be better if you arent going to far out there. If you have the money though Inreach and a few others are nice to have for emergency or when you dont have service.

Last check if anyone wants to roll to Overland Expo East Oct 11-13? I might head down on the 10th To get in early and watch all the cool rigs roll in and setup. Even if you are just swinging by for a day visit let me know we can meet up and have a beer.

What’s nice is inreach isn’t that expensive anymore. I got the garmin mini on sale for $250 and it’s like $12 a month for their basic plan. I use it all the time to text my wife when I’m out of service.

Managed to snag a lightly used MSS off eBay for $139 shipped. Intermediate bag is a little dirty on the outside of the head area but that’s it. My wife got issued one and I used it on a couple winter trips last winter and I was sold. Next weekend will be mid 30s up at aoaa so I wanted to get one for myself, since she had to turn her hers back in.

I have 5 of them lol one for each family member and have used them down to -20. Good find though man. Remember less clothes is better in these during cold months.

It's the best piece of gear I was ever issued. You're lucky you fit in the older model. I have to buy the newest version so I can be a mummy. Fortunately, the army was kind enough to donate one to me.

Yeah the coldest time I used it was in the 20s and that was just the 2 inner bags, no bivvy and I was amazing. Now with this set up, I can just sleep in the bed of my truck all the time with no worry of rain. If a little leaks in from the softopper, it really doesn't matter. That's what I'm planning on doing next weekend.

Keep an eye out on ebay, where I got mine. The sale wasn't even really well advertised and I kinda stumbled across it. Cheapest I found across anyone.
