What one did you go with? The setup inside looks really nice. I love safes that use the door for long guns.

Ended up with a Browning Green Mountain Boyz edition safe. They are all so expensive for pretty good ones and this was about as high as I was willing to go at a little over 2k. Fit all the guns we inherited and some room for the collection to grow. I just hope we never move, because the safe might stay there. I know there are way better, or nicer etc... safes. But this fit the budget and should do everything we require. Was mainly worried about fire damage, than thieves.

Sorry this is a bit late but Gander Outdoors is going out of business. Everything is 50% off, including safes but excludes guns & ammo

    Mine's that weight as well.
I'll have to decide to take it or not when it's time to get out of here.

I'm not going to worry about that at all it'll be my wife's problem I'll be dead and gone.
Naa just kidding, funny thing is I didn't think about having to move the safe once it was in place!

I wonder how easily the Lock Picking Lawyer can get into that safe.

I'm sure if they had any good deals they were gone quickly. I'll have to keep sales like that in mind if I ever need another though.

Yeah this is 700#, I was thinking originally of hiring a mover, but they were like 3 week wait and $300 or more. My cousin, brother and I did it for free in an hour or a little under. The tractor surprisingly fitting through my lawn gate made it much easier. We just tipped it into the bucket and I drove super slow while they watched for any issues. Tipped it over into the hole in the basement, then it slid right down the boards we had, with a bubba rope to keep it from going too fast.

I was worried it was going to be super hard, one dealer literally just stopped talking to me cold when I showed him how I wanted to get it in. :D Next time I move I'm going to plan ahead a little better as far as safes go. Looking at some of the nicer liberty and fort knox vaults made me :drool::drool::drool: So pretty, and eventually would love to own one.

Probably wouldn't be impossible, any lock can be picked. I don't think I have some special impenetrable safe, I do think it's harder than a standard lock box most people use though, and they sure as shit aren't picking it up and walking out with it.

by using a safe you have your safety bases covered, children, typical thieves, angry wives (local/fed. leos…cya)
    nothing out there is perfect.

I have lots of nephews and nieces and they like to wonder. While that wasn’t number 1, it was close on the concerns list.

I hear that. Children and a common thief are the main reasons I have a safe. Definitely don't want the kiddos getting to curious, especially at the age mine are at.
