What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I have a hard time seeing a patent being granted for a sheet of plastic with cutouts for cup holders, so I wouldn’t worry.

 

Removed the huge method center caps and painted the hubs with satin black today in the 90 degree heat

 

Red.

 

Is there a kit available to do this or did you do it from scratch?

Yesterday I finished installing the Audio Plus 500 Reference audio upgrade that I bought through @TacomaBeast. The "plug and play" system is not quite as simple as they make it out to be and their documentation is outdated but the sound is a vast improvement over the stock speakers.

 

No kit. All oem parts besides custom crossmember from RST. Exhaust and hole for shifter have to be modified/engineered to work properly

 

What suspension are you coming from and how does it ride? I have 5100s/885s with spc UCA with sway bar removed and it ride pretty good, I'm curious on how these real coilovers ride

 

So beautiful and if I could find a good job in PA I would move tomorrow. My wife is from around johnstown area it's so nice. Coastal NC is so boring.

Started the grill. Fighting me the whole day way!!!!! Ended up peeling the chrome off which was a freaking nightmare!!!!! Then, in the middle of painting it, the damn thing slid of the table and I caught it with my hand on the paint!!!! Gonna let the paint cure then paint the triangles and grille black

 

Johnstown is a pretty nice area also.
You have some great surf fishing in your backyard if you're near the coast.

 

How'd you get the chrome off? I tried sandblasting, and the bleach method. Bleach would have worked, but it would've taken too many applications. Plus finding a container to fit a Tacoma grill isn't easy.

 

I wasn’t planning on stripping the chrome but a grinding disk got it started. Took me about 4 miserable hours. No beer or anything. Pretty disappointed in myself for that!

So what you're saying is....the $150 I spent for a silver Sport grill was worth it??

 

Nothing worse than a mod that gets out of hand and you have to finish. I spent 2 hours trying to get torque converter in FJ tranny during my swap and was about to call it quits until I remembered the truck was my ride home and had to get it finished

I believe it’s the anti-theft bracket over the tailgate hinge.
