One benefit Tacoma buyers get in 2020, that may be in response to the new Ranger, is a 10-way power seat.

I can't wait to see if I can get the 2020 Tacoma 10-way seat into a comfortable driving position. If yes, then that's a game changer.

Get ready.... Toyota and Subaru are getting ready to build 4 wheel drive vehicles on joint platforms. Toyota is buying 20% of Subaru, and Subaru will buy a percentage of Toyota.

Going to get interesting for 2021.

Doesn't Toyota already own 10% or something like that of Fuji Heavy Industries which in turn owns Subaru?

I don't know if they were Mazdas or Mazdas were Rangers, but the same is true about Mazdas. Good little trucks

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Still have my 98 Ranger which was my first new vehicle. It has power Nothing on the interior. Couldn't afford any options or a Taco at the time but it's got lots of mods now. :D Great truck and still drive it. Still prefer the Taco though.

The Toyota 86 sports car is a joint venture with Subaru, and there is a Subaru version.

The Ford GM Automatic 10 speed automatic transmission joint venture is reminiscent of the days when Lincolns came with GM Hydra-matics.

Not a first year run, "new to you and me in the USA", it's very much still the 2015-19 that was significantly tweaked. All the electronics have been shared for years across some models, and the engine is straight from the Mustang with tweaks again... The Ranger in its "guts" has been around on many continents without rust and running strong.

The frame is where a lot of R&D went for the NEW aspect.

It may not be 100% new, but there is enough new engineering, integration and "this is the first time we've put this together at this plant" parts that it would make me wait a year.

I'm interested in seeing what the rumored 2021 Dodge Dakota will do. I'm in a tacoma now but my first vehicle was a 98 Dakota.

We shall see, and if I find major issues I will call them out as we should all know. I'm not new to the game, this is #22 for the vehicles I've owned, always avoided first year runs by any brand.
