And on a completely unrelated topic; how fast can custom plates show up in the mail? How screwed would i be if i were to theoretically were to lose my plate while wheeling so hard that it got ripped off the front (and i theoretically have video and photo evidence that it was infact theoretically YEEETED into water and rolled under my truck and with about 30minutes of wading through water for the theoretically lost liscense plate but no luck with finding it) and the KGB to pull me over? Do i say to the KGB that it was stolen or that i lost it? If i theoretically lost my plate; What is the cost of a license plate replacement and would they be able to allow me to bypass the loss of a plate with a custom one?

On another completely unrelated topic to the above; The Tacoma looks great without the front license plate!


I may or may not have lost a license plate and i don't know what to do..

 

I would make a paper copy of your current plate. Laminate it, either with packing tape on both sides covering it all or just laminate it. Then attach that until you get your new custom plates.

The problem you have is you lost the plate with your sticker. Did you keep the 2nd one they sent?

 

I was thinking something along that line as well, good idea bout the packing tape. And i should have it the 2nd sticker somewhere

 

So move the back plate to the front, re-apply sticker.

Put paper plate on the back.

 

Just gotta make it home after another 400km drive, spare sticker should be some where at home. seems it's wise to keep the spare sticker in the truck

 

Meh as long as you are not being carzy, the popo dont care. Usually. There can always be that cop who is just on the hunt for anything.

Just drive normal and you will be fine.

I also believe the wise thing is just not loose it. OR bring a large magnet with rope. To go magnet fishing when you randomly toss your plate in water holes.

 

Once i hit Toronto, i'll be fine from the KGB. too many cars to keep track of every detail.
