So I have a 2007 Tacoma Off road with the 4.0 and automatic (if this helps?)

do I need to have the truck running when bleeding the brakes , I’m doing it the old 2 man way where one pumps the brake pedal and the other cracks the bleeder .

    thanks !

No, I did it by myself with a clear bottle and clear tube and a little bit of brake fluid in the catch bottle to stop the sucking of air back up the tube. There’s some utube videos on this that are helpful.

It’s simple and even faster with 2 people.

Ok I did it with two people , but didn’t have the truck turned on or running when we did it . Didn’t know if it mattered ?
