Got sprayed by a skunk once checking a trapline. Not something I care to repeat. Drove home, car smells like hell, my dad is leaving for work. "What the hell is that smell? Strip everything off on the back porch!!" "Everything?" "Everything!" "But dad, it's like 20 degrees" He didn't care. I really didn't care either. Except it was about the time for the three teen age (one a year older, one my age, one a year younger) neighbor girls to leave for school. And it was very cold.

 

Yeah...not the best time to give a good impression.

Love me a lever action. I need to get one. Keep eyeballing a 45-70 marlin at cabelas.... but I have an ar15 to finish building first.

 

sunday funday. What’s everyone doing today?

 

Gotta go look at flooring.... ugh! Put new flooring down in kitchen, hall, & laundry room about February. It’s pulling apart. Talked to flooring people, the company went out of business (I can see why) so the store we bought it from is going to work with us on something new.... we’ll see how this works out.
Then gonna take grandkids and go play somewhere indoors cuz weather has sucked all weekend!!

Oooh busy day.
I need to get flooring and lay it down in my lower level. I’ve been procrastinating for wayyy to long.

Today. Probably yard work later when it’s nice and hot. Need to change some stuff up on my truck roof rack. Take our garbage to the dumpster. The list is never ending lol

The Marlin lever actions are nicely finished, serviceable and accurate.
I don't think they'll ever be collectible, ha. Too many have been made.
Side ejection a plus if you happen to want a scope.
Personally, I prefer a good aperture sight. Williams, for example. Fits on a Marlin as is.
Hardly any caliber in a lever action has a range that really justifies a scope.

Anyway, I love my Model 39A.
Almost all the .22 rifles available these days are so cheap and plasticky.
I know, they shoot fine for the most part, but I don't like them.
