Well I wanted a low cost solution for my stock TRD off road wheels and after some searching around I found a post (on here) where someone had purchased the black version and fit them their painted wheels. I would like to THANK the original poster for providing this idea

I ordered a set of FJ caps from TRDparts4u.com

    Total Cost: $46.00 for caps/shipped

    Items Needed:

    - 4 FJ Cruiser TRD Centercaps Part Number PT904-35070CC (silver version)
    - Cut off tool (Dremel, rotozip or similar device)
    - Dremel cut off discs Model 456 (1 1/2")

    Cap1_3ef04a5c1ee38119bc1fa00a7473108cba5b7f7d.jpg

The FJ caps are longer than the stock OR caps and require a bit of cutting.

I removed the retention clip spring from the cap and placed that aside.

Cut the longer legs (6 of them) to the SAME length as the retention clips

After you have done all 4, remove any excess plastic with a razor knife and reinstall the retention clip springs. Line up the caps and press into place. T

The retention clips will need to be squeezed into place on the wheel so be careful not to force this step!

    ... and enjoy!

Not much to mess up. If you cut too little it won't fit, if you go a little over its not going to show.

    Thank you!

Just for a comparison, I called the dealer (local) and they wanted $18.11 per centercap PLUS tax... When I ordered mine from TRDparts4u they were here in about 3 business days.

those center caps give the sport wheel a whole new look. I am now considering picking up a set and having them powder coated.
