That’s fucked up. I’m glad it’s all online now and easy to pull. I have Extra everything though from my deployments. Just wish they would take all this ACU bullshit for me.

Couch camo! I still have my entire issue. Most of it is useless to me. Sleep system is nice. Maybe k-pot, but I hate the issue packs, etc. Also have a pile of uniforms I don't know what to do with.

Not only for the taco bed, but works for the hammock in a pinch!

Still suggest an underquilt during cool or at higher elevation hammock camping. 20190929_142852.jpg

Dress uniforms go in the trash. ACU's are for mowing, gardening, changing oil, etc.

I was gonna use a hammock this weekend! No underquilt but hopefully my insulated sleeping pad will be enough.

This was my Drill SGT go to Out in the field. But i also didn’t mind the fart sac and a decent pad on the ground in a little Dug out hasty or on a bed of pine needles is comfy as well.

It's all ACU so Velcro. The IR tabs are on everything. Should probably trim those out.

I have two packs. One is what they call the assault pack. The other one is the framed ruck. Both ACU. Pretty sure they attach to each other. It was issue before the changeover to OCP.

Nah. The best modern one is the USMC issue. Made by Arc'teryx. They're not cheap, but you can typically find them with the assault pack for around $250.

It probably won't be. Once you compress it with your weight it loses almost all of it's R value. Insulated sleeping pads are designed to have ground under them. Not air.

Well the one time I used a hammock, I had my sleeping pad in it. It was amazingly warm. Woke up in the middle of the night and I had slipped off it, and that one part of my body was nice and cold. So it does do something.
