Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I am working on having it available by flash manager, as quickly as I can. The original dump tube tunes were 1.05 based which I'm sure nobody with dump tubes will want vs 2.0 (beta version) with dump tubes.

At the moment it's our priority to get everyone's orders out to them, update for customers waiting on specific updates, then we can post any necessary files.

This is not helpful. I'm already aware of my conversation with this person.


FYI like we have posted multiple times, sending multiple ticket can almost guarantee a slow down.
We only recommend you sending in another ticket if you haven't heard from us in a while. However, with everything we are working on to get out, only certain tickets are being responded to right now. I've said this a few times. If you haven't got a response yet, be patient you will. Coming here and asking for updates just slows it down for everyone else.

I fully understand waiting can downright suck. Our whole timeline of what we were doing got messed up and shifted from manufacturer delays, and as a result both the handhelds, handheld software, dump tubes, all delivered to us within 2 days of another, both of which were very late to us.
We are going as fast as we can, and at the same time trying to do this with some form of clarity.

Why don't you just email shawnkc10fe, and everyone else who's bought the dump tubes the 1.05 dump tube tune? Probably would have taken less time than writing your post above. And it doesn't sound like it's your top priority now.

 

Because there is 50+ people who ordered dump tubes with many different ECU IDs.
Priority is to have it for all ECU IDs.

The reason why it is taking so long : it's 220 files.
( each ECU ID, each octane, catted, uncatted, each version of tune)

It’s not my daily driver and I was told the tune would email when I received the tubes. So doesn’t really seem foolish to me. When was I supposed to put them on? In the middle of winter...next year? Just asking ?

 

there is no clowning, the dump tubes just shipped out, there must be some confusion.

 

Thanks guys! My OV tune package should be here tomorrow and Ive done my pre registration. Have a version of TS loaded on the laptop and bot sure I can test it until the cable gets here but very excited! If Ive read everything correctly I'll need that to read and possibly update my ECU as well as reset the learning values before I flash my first tune. I know theres some instructions to follow and will definitely be reading as I go step by step but hoping i have the right idea and order.

poor planning, manufacture delays, constant...constant requests for 2.0 update (which we've been trying to work on in the interim), FI updates, SEMA, new building, newborn. There is the full list of reasons.

I really don't want to work "backwards" and make dump tube files for 1.05 or 1.05.1, and make over 400 files, when I'm 90% through 2.0. Because then I make all regular versions of 2.0 + uncatted + catted files. 1000+ files. Unfortunately, the feedback we get makes it not really possible to condense and make tunes a standard way. (like most cases a "stage 1" "stage 2" and "dump tube tune"). It's I need my tip in this way, throttle response this way, shifting this way, 93 octane power with 87 octane tune (impossible but constantly asked for), etc etc.

As a result of having a 500+ file library right now, updates have to be done properly, and with the latest versions. Remember you guys only pay one time even if I have to make 5000 more files.

I understand Mat. But I hope you understand there is growing frustration. Some caused by factors beyond your control, some are. Hope you take this as constructive criticism that maybe you shouldn't sell hardware unless you can support them with tunes. Or maybe limit sales to one ECU version and gradually phase in others. Hope this helps the turbo/supercharger sales go smoother for you. Anyway just my $.02.
