That treeline in the background is the city limit, so SO responded. They'll let you self recover. If it was passed that treeline, city PD would've responded and called a rollback. I'm thinking, after the citation was written for an unsecure load and property damage to the fence it took out, they got to haul it. Luckily that little fence is there. Just out of the frame is a mobile coffee trailer and a couple picnic tables and those are just past the parking lot of an rv parts and supply place. In another month or so snowbirds would have been wearing their coffee.

 

I see ... how far to the water ... maybe it was an alternative launch attempt gone awry?

Miles! The closest water they can legally launch in is 15-20 miles to get into the river north of the Imperial Dam. These guys just flat screwed up.

 

I just remembered the ramp on the west side of town...so 12 miles.
